Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Senior Market Data Analyst to join the Market Data Services team. You will manage market data across its lifecycle, engaging with vendors, ensuring licensing alignment, and supporting regulatory and governance requirements.

Work closely with the Head of Market Data to shape priorities, manage risk, and drive efficiency across data usage, delivery, and archiving for stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of Market Data with experience across Bloomberg, FTSE, MSCI, etc.
• Experience with ESG market data providers.
• Familiarity with all data formats and market data inventory software such as MDSL and FITS.
• Experience reading and understanding market data vendor contracts.
• Strong knowledge of asset management applications and data.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with market data vendors, overseeing service reviews, SLAs and costs.
• Act as primary point of contact for market data matters across vendors and licensing.
• Onboard new market data licences with Legal, Procurement, Tech and business teams.
• Provide market data input into change initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify improvements to data processes, controls and ways of working.

We are looking for a Senior Market Data Analyst to join our Market Data Services team and play a key role in managing market data throughout its lifecycle, from acquisition and delivery through to usage and archiving. Working closely with the Head of Market Data, you’ll help shape the team’s day-to-day priorities while acting as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the business. You’ll provide market data expertise and insight, manage relationships with key data vendors, and support business, strategic and regulatory change.

Manage day-to-day relationships with market data vendors, overseeing service reviews, contractual arrangements, SLAs, performance metrics and associated costs. Act as the primary point of contact for market data matters, providing subject matter expertise across vendors, products and licensing while delivering a high-quality service to business stakeholders. Develop a strong understanding of business operating models and market data requirements, ensuring services and solutions effectively support the needs of teams across RLAM. Coordinate the onboarding of new market data licences, working collaboratively with Legal, Procurement, Technology and business teams to ensure agreements and services are implemented efficiently. Provide market data expertise into change initiatives, assessing the impact on existing licences and services while ensuring data requirements meet relevant legal, regulatory and governance requirements. Identify and implement opportunities to improve market data processes, controls and ways of working, contributing ideas and expertise to wider projects and change activity. Support effective risk management across Market Data Services, ensuring key risks and controls are understood, monitored and appropriately managed in line with regulatory requirements and internal frameworks.

Proven knowledge of Market Data – having experience with Bloomberg, FTSE, MSCI etc. Experience of ESG market data providers. Comfort and familiarity with all types of market data, in its various formats. Experience in market data inventory software – such as MDSL, FITS. Experience of reading and understanding market data vendor contracts. Proven, in-depth knowledge and experience of integrated asset management business applications and data. Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and balance multiple activities simultaneously.
