Job summary

SYOS is building autonomous maritime systems and seeks a Maritime Operations Team Leader to guide daily operations and coordinate resources for safe, efficient delivery across air, land and sea.

You will oversee planning, scheduling and logistics for vessels and USVs, lead the operations team, and collaborate with engineering and commissioning to ensure readiness for trials and deployments in the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

• First Aid at Work.
• Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 points) + tow capability.
• MCA /RYA Maritime skipper qualification (Advanced or above).
• Trailer Towing Competency.
• Load Restraint and Cargo Securing Training.
• Forklift/Telehandler licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day maritime operations and ensure planning, resourcing and delivery.
• Plan maritime activities and ensure vessels, USVs, equipment and facilities are ready.
• Allocate personnel for activities in consultation with Event Leads.
• Act as Event Lead when required for safe delivery of operations.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, risk assessments, maritime requirements and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the Chief USV Pilot on demonstrations, trials, training and deployments.
