The Role
As a Maritime Life Support Engineer, your role will include using core mechanical engineering knowledge together with numerical tools to keep the current UK fleet operating and improve the tools and design for future platforms.
Day-to-day, the primary focus of the job will be the delivery of technical projects relating to the systems and processes for conducting escape and rescue from submarines in addition to provision of engineering support and advice for diving and life support systems including hyperbaric medicine services.

This role is 37 hours per week based at Haslar, Gosport. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.

Our facilities at the Haslar Marine Technology Park are state-of-the-art, including our ocean basin rotating arm, and marine towing tank, offering an unparalleled environment for testing and refining designs. Our marine technology offers our global customers a service to deliver constrained hydrodynamic model tests of surface ships, submarines, offshore structures, and renewable energy devices.
