Overview

As a Claims Handler, have you had some exposure to Marine Trades or Yacht Insurance in the past? Or perhaps, you have some superb commercial package claims experience and now looking to specialise and evolve yourself in such a diverse, fascinating and complex industry. This is an exceptional Marine Trades Claims Handler opportunity in Nottingham to become a leading expert in a hugely interesting part of the market, handling claims for businesses who operate on or near water. One of the UK's highest regarded specialty insurance broker's marine team has secured delegated authority, meaning they are ready to make an offer to an individual who'd like to head this up!

As an integral part of the business, you\'ll have the opportunity to lead the smooth running of all daily affairs relating to claims processing for the marine trade team, handle an array of claims including those which are more complex than others, particularly those in line with the current claims settling authority within your new company\'s binding authority agreements. This opportunity very much has potential to progress into a senior position over time, as the business grows and develops.

We are looking to talk to individuals with a strong claims handling/processing background, either with prior experience handling marine trades, yacht or commercial package/combined claims.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily claims processing activities for the marine trade team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance.
  • Handle a range of claims, including more complex matters in line with the authority within the company\'s binding authority agreements.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to support smooth claims resolution and customer service.
  • Potential to progress into a senior position as the business grows.
Qualifications
  • Strong claims handling/processing background.
  • Experience in marine trades, yacht claims or commercial package/combined claims is desirable.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Salary up to £40,000 plus pension.
  • Hybrid working; option to buy/sell an additional 3 days holiday from the existing 25 days.
