Job description
Overview

We are seeking both trainee engineer and experienced engineer with an electrical background to join our marine team. This involves servicing fire detection and suppression systems onboard ships. The service and small works occur whilst the ship is in port. You will be working on all types and sizes of ships including navy ships, oil tankers, tugs, etc. Other systems we service include breathing apparatus, escape suits and gas detectors. We will provide full training and you will be working in the first instance with our experienced engineers. You will be provided with your own company vehicle, all tools and test equipment and a tablet to record your jobs and certificates. Ocon also has engineers in the South and North of England and there may be times when they need a hand so a full driving license is a must.
