Marine Portfolio Underwriter

We are seeking a Marine Portfolio Underwriter to join our Marine Division in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a fast-follow energy portfolio, driving sustainable growth, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders

About the role
  • Manage a fast-follow marine portfolio to ensure long-term profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and broker partners.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the portfolio and make informed underwriting decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor aggregate exposures and catastrophe management within company limits.
  • Use data systems for portfolio analysis and provide performance reports.
  • Ensure timely and professional responses to stakeholders, prioritising customer service.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for
  • Experience in the marine or property insurance market.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and portfolio analysis tools such as PowerBI.
  • Experience with Cat/Aggregation Management software is advantageous.
  • ACII qualification (or working towards it) would be beneficial.
