Job summary

A leading insurance brokerage is seeking a Marine Placement Broker to manage client relationships and negotiate terms with underwriters. The ideal candidate is experienced in marine insurance and able to work in London at least 2 days a week. This full-time role offers a hybrid work model and a negotiable salary based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Marine Broker in any of the Marine LOBs - Cargo, H&M, P&T, Liabilities, Yachts etc.
  • Ability to work in the London office at least 2+ days/week.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Prepare market presentations and negotiate terms with underwriters.
  • Draft and check slips, endorsements, and policy documentation.
  • Liaise with claims teams to assist clients with marine losses.

Qualifications
  • Experienced Marine Broker in any of the Marine LOBs - Cargo, H&M, P&T, Liabilities, Yachts etc…
  • Ability to work in the London office at least 2+ days / week
Main Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, logistics firms, and marine insurers. Understand client\'s operations, exposures, and risk profiles.
  • Placement & Negotiation: Prepare market presentations and negotiate terms, conditions, and premiums with Lloyd\'s syndicates and company market underwriters to achieve optimal cover for clients.
  • Policy Administration: Draft and check slips, endorsements, and policy documentation in accordance with Lloyd\'s requirements and internal procedures.
  • Claims Support: Liaise with claims teams and underwriters to assist clients with marine losses and ensure timely resolution.
  • Market Insight & Development: Keep up to date with global marine market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks (e.g., cyber threats to shipping, sanctions, environmental regulations).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (technical support, account handlers, analytics, and claims) to deliver a seamless client service.
