Job description

Purpose of Role: Provide strategic leadership for Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) across the Marine business. Ensure robust legal and technical frameworks, drive the Safety First strategy, and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence industry standards and create the safest marine environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of the Safety First strategy within Marine, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Provide expert HSEQ advice and assurance to the Marine team advising on a variety of legal accountabilities across leasing and investing versus supply chain management and employer obligations.
  • Develop and maintain action plans and risk assessments, ensuring alignment with legal and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee HSEQ performance monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective management systems, training, and governance are in place.
  • Lead incident investigation, reporting, and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote a high-performance, inclusive team culture and support professional development.
  • Deliver ad hoc projects and provide out-of-hours support as required.
