Job summary

HSB Technical Ltd, a specialist recruiter, is seeking a Marine Electrical Site Lead for offshore installations and testing in the Stockton-on-Tees area. The role involves leading a small team from mobilisation through testing, handover and commissioning support.

You will supervise electrical crews, manage permits and test procedures, coordinate with vessel staff and clients, and ensure safe, compliant execution of power and control installations on complex marine systems.

Qualifications

• Marine, offshore, shipyard or heavy-industrial electrical experience.
• Experience supervising electricians and technicians.
• Strong LV knowledge, preferably with some MV experience.
• Switchboard, MCC, MCCB/ACB, transformer and distribution-system experience.
• Power and control cable installation, glanding and termination experience.
• Familiarity with generators, drives, motors and temporary vessel power.
• Experience working from schematics, cable schedules and general-arrangement drawings.
• FAT, SAT, commissioning and fault-finding experience.
• Knowledge of isolation, permit-to-work and LOTO procedures.
• Experience liaising with vessel engineers, clients, class surveyors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead six to twelve personnel and own the job from mobilisation through testing and handover.
• Supervise site teams, manage permits, tests and documentation.
• Liaise with clients and ships staff; drive safe, efficient installation with FAT/SAT and commissioning support.
• Coordinate testing under an approved test procedure and prepare daily progress reports.
• Complete handover and punch-list documentation.
