Job Description

A leading Lloyd's market brokerage is expanding and seeking a highly experienced Marine Broker to join its London team. This is a senior role requiring a proven track record in the placement of War Risks, Hull & Machinery, and P&I within the Lloyd's and London markets.

You will have over 7 years + of placing experience in the London Market, handling direct business and placements coming into the office from an established network of international colleagues. You will be able to utilise the relationships with various Underwriters to negotiate competitive terms for the book - the focus is on expertise, technical skill, and the ability to negotiate competitive terms.

Your portfolio will be centred on War Risks, Hull & Machinery, and P&I, with additional exposure being beneficial e.g. Increased Value, Freight Interest, Kidnap & Ransom, Yachts, and other marine lines.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Need
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in marine broking within Lloyd's and the London market (applications from candidates with less years will only be considered if they are already operating at senior broker level)
  • Profound knowledge and experience in War Risks, Hull & Machinery, and P&I
  • Strong understanding of marine market operations and placement processes
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, managing a varied and complex portfolio
