Are you practical, confident outdoors and keen to learn fast in a marina environment where every shift is different?

Royal Quays Marina is looking for a Marina Operative to join our friendly team for a six‑month fixed term contract. This is a busy, hands‑on role that suits someone who enjoys responsibility, physical work, customer contact and problem solving.

Royal Quays Marina is part of Boatfolk Marinas and the wider Premier Marinas Group. We pride ourselves on delivering a great experience for our customers and maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards across the site. You will play an active part in that from day one, working as part of a team delivering safe and efficient marina operations across our twenty‑four hour, seven‑day service.

  • Able to swim which is essential for this role
  • In possession of a full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience in a marine environment or working with plant is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided
  • RYA PB L2 and First Aid at Work certificates are desirable but not essential
What the role involves

This is a hands‑on and varied role. Typical duties include:

  • Welcoming customers, meeting and greeting boats, catching lines and supporting safe berthing
  • Allocating visitor berths and handling enquiries, payments and updates in our marina systems
  • Carrying out regular safety and security checks, patrols and inspections across the site
  • Operating the VHF radio and the marina lock once trained
  • Supporting boatyard activities including working around plant and assisting with lifting and launching operations
  • Helping with maintenance tasks across the site including practical repairs on pontoons, buildings and outdoor areas
  • Supporting high standards of cleanliness and presentation across pontoons, washrooms, buildings and outdoor areas

This is a short‑term contract and we are looking for someone who can contribute from the outset and work confidently as part of a small, supportive team.
