Job description
Marina & Boatyard Operative – South Devon

I’m working with a well-established and growing marina on the River Dart, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Marina & Boatyard Operative to join their friendly, hands‑on team. If you enjoy variety, love being outdoors, and have a passion for the marine world, this is a brilliant opportunity.

This is a multi-skilled role covering boatyard operations, dry stack work, pontoon duties and general marina upkeep. You’ll also spend time in the marina office supporting customers, so confidence and a warm approach are key.

Experience with boats or operating plant would be a real bonus, but it’s not essential — full training is available, and the team is genuinely invested in helping you develop and grow your skills.

What they’re looking for:
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Flexibility to work across both marina and boatyard tasks
  • Willingness to learn new systems and use computer-based tools
  • A proactive, team‑focused approach

This role is outdoors and operates on a rota covering seven days a week, including some weekends and bank holidays. A full UK driving licence is essential.

If you’re someone who thrives in a varied, outdoor role and enjoys helping customers have a great experience on the water, I’d love to hear from you.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
