Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is recruiting a Utilities & Facilities Manager for a major manufacturing site in North Oxfordshire. This hands‑on leadership role oversees power, water, HVAC, compressed air and facilities, ensuring safe, reliable production operations.

You will manage day-to-day performance, lead improvement projects and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to maintain asset integrity and compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing utilities, site services or facilities within a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of boilers, water systems and water hygiene, HVAC, compressed air or electrical infrastructure would be advantageous.
• Experience leading people and contractors, managing compliance and preventive maintenance.
• The ability to solve problems effectively while maintaining production operations.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and maintenance management systems would be useful.
• A background in utilities, site services, facilities, engineering or maintenance.
• A proven track record of taking responsibility for critical services within a manufacturing environment, with evidence of improving reliability, safety or efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of site utilities, including electricity, water, HVAC, compressed air and waste services.
• Oversee building maintenance, cleaning, security and other facilities services.
• Manage contractors and service agreements, monitoring performance, compliance and value for money.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and use the site's maintenance management system to track work and asset performance.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce energy use and control costs.
• Lead audits and inspections and support upgrades or changes to site infrastructure.
• Lead and develop the team responsible for utilities and facilities, working closely with production and engineering colleagues.
