Job summary

Prospec Associates seeks a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to join a dynamic team on a contract basis outside IR35. The role focuses on tooling design, DFMA input, and production tooling validation for aerospace/automotive environments.

Responsibilities include defining tooling requirements with manufacturing methods, documenting tooling lifecycles, and supporting prototype builds and process improvements. Degree in engineering and CAD/NX experience required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Significant experience in design and development of production tooling within aerospace/automotive environments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their limitations.
• Experience using CAD software: NX is preferred.
• Experience of PFMEA and Control Plan development leading to robust process development.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance requirements and scheduling.
• Experience in completing risk assessments and ergonomic assessments.
• Ability to support and plan for future opportunities/volumes while managing day-to-day activities.
