A leading medical technology company in the UK is seeking an engineer to manage machine documentation and participate in quality control processes. This on-site role requires an HNC/OND degree in Electronics/Physics, experience with complex systems, and the ability to perform fault finding. Creating and maintaining machine documentation as per released procedures and work instructions. To ensure adequate control and disposition of non-conforming material and provide the necessary documentation. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, taking responsibility for tools, equipment, shelter and any product being tested. Participating and contributing to the DQT process. Carrying out necessary duties for the benefit, maintenance and progression of the test department such as monthly interlock checks, housekeeping audits, Lean activities, assisting with equipment calibration, training of new engineers and representing the department in meetings. Assisting other functions within the business such as production, pre-test, spares, service or training as directed by the Manufacturing Manager – Systems Test. This could include the need to assist with testing products, fault finding, assisting other departments or personnel and possibly a need to work off site including outside of the UK. Final sign off and acceptance in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), confirming product meets all requirements prior to shipment. Raise and manage NCR’s and Concessions as required.
