Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join the systems engineering team based in the UK. You will support contract manufacturing of drive, switchboard and distribution products, creating 3D models in Creo and managing BoMs in Teamcenter.

Travel within the UK and internationally is required, with SC clearance eligibility necessary. You will report to the systems engineering group and work with product managers to meet schedules and quality targets, ensuring designs meet manufacturing

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and sheetmetal/welding.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacture of power electronics, switchboards and distribution equipment.
• Serve as main technical point of contact for mechanical topics.
• Collaborate with supplier quality to assess new suppliers.
