A leading technology company in Derry, Londonderry is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to operate machines in a cleanroom production environment. The successful candidate will work 12-hour rotating shifts with a competitive salary of £30,051.84 plus a 25% shift allowance, leading to total earnings of £37,564.80 annually. This is a full-time, permanent role requiring teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
The Seagate Manufacturing facility in Derry, Londonderry currently has an opportunity for numerous Manufacturing Specialists, Production Operators to join our team. In the role of Manufacturing Specialist, you will be working in one of our cleanroom areas and on groundbreaking technology, including working with state-of-the-art cleanroom toolsets. The role is on-site based and the work environment you will be working in, is within a cleanroom environment. The roles are permanent fulltime opportunities, working 12 hour rotating shifts to include both days and nights over a 28 day period.In total you will work on average 42 hours in a week, and you will also be paid a 25 percent shift allowance for working these hours, on top of a competitive salary. Annual earnings of 30,051.84 and 25 percent shift allowance. Total 37,564.80 annually.Complete your online application. In the first step of our selection process you will be asked to complete an aptitude test. You will receive a link to book in your on-site assessments once the role has closed for all applications. We plan to run the Aptitude tests on 8th, 9th & 10th December 2025. You will be required to come in on-site in our Derry. Londonderry location, to complete this. You will also have a short tour of our facilities during this visit. The total length of visit will be approximately one hour. All applicants will have to sit this test, even if completed before as we can only acknowledge previous results for a maximum of 6 months. The only exception to this is if you are currently working at Seagate through an Agency contract.2nd Stage. We will bring the top number of candidates through to a Behavioural Based Interview, where you’ll be asked a set of questions designed to give us examples of how you performed in the work environment in the past, with the logic that past performance predicts future performance (e.g.) Tell me about a time when you were part of a high performing team. The questions will be linked to our core values, Innovation, Inclusion, Integrity. You'll receive a link to book in your on-site interview once all assessments have been completed. You will be required to come in onsite, to complete this. We plan to run this interview from mid-January 2026 onwards for 2 weeks.3rd Stage. If you are successful in obtaining a position at Seagate, you will undergo an occupational medical assessment. This is part of our company pre-employment checks.
