Jaguar Land Rover's Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) is seeking a Manufacturing Senior Maintenance Process Leader to drive reliability and performance in our advanced production environment. You will lead a skilled maintenance team across mechanical and electrical systems, coordinating with operations to meet safety, quality and environmental goals.

In this role you'll oversee preventative maintenance, condition monitoring, and automatic tooling upgrades, while developing training

• Previous experience supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Experience specifying and installing new automation to boost productivity.
• Familiarity with Environmental controls and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective day-to-day leadership and supervision of the maintenance team to meet SQDCPE objectives.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities including reactive repairs and PPM programmes.
• Drive waste reduction and cost-efficiency across maintenance operations.
• Ensure robust shift-to-shift communication with data analysis and reporting.
• Support deployment and standardisation of the site's maintenance strategy.
• Lead training and competency development for maintenance personnel.
• Champion continuous improvement through structured problem solving and root cause analysis.

Job description

• Provide effective day-to-day leadership and supervision of the maintenance team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment while delivering performance against Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environmental (SQDCPE) objectives.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities, including reactive repairs, condition-based monitoring, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes, to maximise equipment availability and operational performance.
• Drive waste reduction and cost-efficiency initiatives across maintenance operations, promoting continuous improvement and the optimisation of resources, materials, and processes.
• Ensure robust shift-to-shift communication processes are in place through the accurate collection, analysis, and dissemination of operational and maintenance performance data.
• Support the deployment and standardisation of the site's maintenance strategy, ensuring alignment with plant objectives, reliability goals, and best practice maintenance principles.
• Lead the development, implementation, and review of training and competency plans for maintenance personnel, ensuring the effective delivery of technical, safety, compliance, and process-related training programmes.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance maintenance methodologies, equipment reliability, and operational performance through structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Previous experience in a similar role including experience of supervising maintenance operational teams to meet production targets in Manufacturing
• Technical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills, ideally in a large automated environment
• Experience of specifying and installing new automation to realise productivity targets
• Experience of Environmental controls and practices
• Demonstrable experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving
