Job summary

Vincere is seeking a practical Project Engineer to join our manufacturing and engineering team in Pulborough. You will coordinate engineering activities across multiple projects, from planning through to manufacture, while pushing continuous improvement in processes, quality and efficiency.

With at least 2 years in project/manufacturing engineering and an engineering qualification (Degree, HNC or HND), you will work closely with production, design and quality teams and provide hands-on technical

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent (HNC/HND) with relevant industry experience.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in project or manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to understand technical problems and develop practical solutions.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence working with engineering, production, design and quality teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects from planning through to completion.
• Experience coordinating workloads and schedules; support smaller teams where needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities across a range of manufacturing projects.
• Work with colleagues and customers to investigate and resolve technical or production issues.
• Create and maintain project plans, engineering records, change documentation and other project information.
• Support investigations into manufacturing issues, including non-conformances and process-related problems.
• Review production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with design to ensure manufacturability of products.
• Assist with development of manufacturing processes, layouts and workflow improvements.
• Provide engineering support to production teams.
• Monitor project expenditure, hours and material usage to estimate costs.
• Support production scheduling and forward planning when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Maintain health and safety procedures and ensure safe engineering activities.
• Communicate project progress and potential issues to stakeholders.
