Job summary
The Best Connection in Redditch is seeking a General Operative to join a leading manufacturing specialist and become part of a dedicated, skilled team.
Responsibilities include operating shop-floor machinery, quality checking, and painting tasks with both solvent and water-based paints. The role offers a permanent contract, weekly pay, pension contributions, and a bonus scheme, with a Monday–Thursday shift pattern and early finish on Fridays.
Qualifications
- GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
- Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- CBT/Reach/Bendi qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery on the shop floor, including weighing scales, filling pumps and mixers with accuracy.
- Check goods in against paperwork and system records.
- Colour match and tint paints to customer standards using solvent and water-based paints.
- Apply paint using spray methods and ensure quality checks on finished products.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation and housekeeping.
