THE EMPLOYER IS: TECHNICAL METALS LTDDue to an increase in orders, we are seeking a Manufacturing Operative to join our team at Technical Metals Limited. In this role, you will play a vital part in the manufacturing process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position is essential for maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This role involves manual tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, or working in noisy or temperature-controlled environments. Participants will be operating machinery and using hand tools or power tools.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hand buffing and polishing of metal materials, identifying even the smallest defects or deviations.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout production.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality due to the precision required in inspecting aerospace components, good visual acuity is also essential.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and techniques.
  • Hand buffing / fettler experience.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Health & Safety or factory-specific training.
  • First Aid, Fire Warden, or similar qualifications.
