Manufacturing Operator – CNC Setter Operator

Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £36,500 per annum
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2 pm – 11:30 pm
Contract: Full‑time

Manufacturing Operative – Slitting Department – Cheltenham

Shift Pattern:
• Four on, four off 12‑hour shift pattern (2 days followed by 2 nights)
Hourly Pay: £15 – £18 per hour, rising with skill development

Responsibilities:
• Receive and interpret orders, calculate reel widths and manage correct reels and packaging.
• Operate slitter machines: load reels, thread paper, set knife bars, monitor for faults and report issues to the Slitting IC.
• Manage trim and dust extractor units, take samples as required.
• Handle coils, mark, pass for packaging, and record data accurately.
• Assist with reel upending in cutting centres and related tasks.
• Perform minor maintenance, housekeeping and support within the slitting department.
• Complete H&S checks, report defects and ensure reels are wrapped correctly in accordance with correct instructions.
