Morgan Jones in Ashford is seeking a Manufacturing & Assembly Operative to join a busy workshop. The role involves hands-on assembly, finishing metal components, quality checks and preparing goods for delivery.

Manufacturing Operative

Location: Ashford

Pay: £13.33 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
Alternate Saturdays, 7:00am - 11:00am

Are you practical, reliable and happy working with your hands?

We're looking for a Manufacturing & Assembly Operative to join an established business in Ashford.

This is a varied, hands-on role involving assembling products, finishing metal components, checking quality and preparing finished goods for delivery. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication, warehousing or a workshop would be beneficial.

You don't need to be a specialist metal finisher - we're looking for someone with a good attitude, attention to detail and a willingness to get stuck in.

What you'll be doing:

• Assembling products and fitting components
• Finishing metal products and checking the quality of completed work
• Using hand tools and carrying out general workshop duties
• Packing and preparing products for delivery or installation
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy and safe
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day manufacturing tasks

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a practical, hands-on role, ideally within manufacturing, production, assembly or a workshop
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• A reliable attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors when required
