Overview

A leading advanced manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Analyst to support its growing production site in Sheffield. The facility is a modern aerospace‑grade metal fabrication plant, producing precision components using state‑of‑the‑art machining and forming processes. This role focuses on workforce planning, process improvement, and operational readiness as the business continues to expand production capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding for production and support roles.
  • Develop and maintain staffing plans, shift schedules, and workforce models.
  • Create and manage training and competency programs for operators and technicians.
  • Work with department managers to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
  • Use production data to forecast labour needs and recommend process improvements.
  • Track and report workforce metrics such as turnover, training completion, and absenteeism.
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, onboarding, and training efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all operational materials.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing operations, workforce planning, or training coordination.
  • Proven experience in recruiting, onboarding, and developing production staff.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR or production data.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
Skills
  • Understanding of safety (OSHA) and quality systems (ISO/AS9100 or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods.
  • Experience within aerospace or other high‑precision manufacturing environments.
