Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Analyst to lead the development and implementation of strategies, which will be intrinsic to the planned people ramp-up & support future production rates at the Boeing Sheffield Fabrication site.

The Manufacturing Operations Analyst will analyze and interpret data. Provide feedback on assessment results, working with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies (or other applicable tools and processes). The role will operate at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans, working under general direction of the site manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead hiring for production and support roles, screen applicants, co-ordinate interviews and lead employee hiring and onboarding meetings.
  • Develop and maintain staffing plans and shift schedules to meet production goals and minimize overtime and downtime.
  • Design, deliver, and maintain orientation and onboarding programs for new hires (safety, SOPs, quality, equipment, company culture).
  • Create, manage, and update training curricula, competency checklists, and certification/tracking systems for operators and technicians.
  • Partner with department managers and supervisors to identify skill gaps, succession needs, and training priorities.
  • Use production data to forecast labor needs, model staffing scenarios, and recommend process or staffing changes.
  • Track and report key workforce metrics (turnover, time-to-fill, training completion, competency pass rates, absenteeism).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives around operator productivity, standard work, and training effectiveness (e.g., reduce onboarding time, increase First Time Quality).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements in all staffing and training materials.
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations, workforce planning, training development/delivery, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, onboarding, and training production staff.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using production and HR data to guide decisions.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of safety (OSHA) and quality (ISO/AS9100 or similar) requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, standard work, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in Aerospace industry
