An established SME manufacturer in City Of London is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to oversee production processes and lead a talented team. The ideal candidate will have experience in low volume, complex manufacturing and a strong focus on continuous improvement and health and safety. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing low volume, complex built-to-order products.
  • Strong track record of Health and Safety delivery.
  • Expert in production scheduling.
  • Able to produce and analyse data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience of using and developing ERP/MRP.
  • Either electrical or mechanical technical background.
  • Excellent people skills, able to motivate and lead.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager for an established and respected SME manufacturer. The role is perfect for an ambitious individual who can grow with the company and earn a senior position. You will have a high level of autonomy to manage all production issues and develop people and processes in line with CI; there's a very receptive team of around 25 to manage and further develop so you won't be walking into any battles.

Day to day responsibilities will include:
  • Scheduling production to ensure that customer expectations are met;
  • Delivering improvements in manufacturing cost and quality;
  • Setting and achieving KPIs;
  • Managing core values to develop an already high-performing team;
  • Developing a culture focussed on continuous improvement across the manufacturing team; and,
  • Mentoring and developing colleagues.
You:
  • A quick learner with proven experience of manufacturing low volume ,complex, built to order products.
  • A strong track record of Health and Safety delivery
  • A "Can do" attitude
  • Happy on the shop floor and in the Board Room
  • Expert in production scheduling
  • Able to produce and analyse data to drive continuous improvement
  • Experience of using and developing ERP/MRP
  • Either electrical of mechanical technical background
  • Excellent people skills, able to motivate and lead
