Job summary

Sumitomo Electric in Glasgow, Scotland is seeking an ambitious Management Accountant to join our Finance team. You will deliver monthly management accounts, cost analysis, and cash forecasts while supporting cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and profitability.

You will work with ERP systems such as SAP, Dynamics, or Oracle, and contribute to year-end reporting and statutory compliance. This role offers study support and a clear path to progression in a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Part qualified or newly qualified ACCA/ICAS/CIMA with 3-5 years of management accounting experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and month-end reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle) and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for designated divisions.
• Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Handle VAT returns, corporation tax and other tax matters.
• Review intercompany transactions and balances.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
• Collaborate with production, operations and procurement to provide financial insight.
