Job Description

Bring accuracy and pace to our door layup line by converting tickets into finished assemblies.

Role Snapshot
  • Read/interpret production tickets and quality specifications.
  • Slide/push/pull/pick up cull board onto lift table to stage builds.
  • Retrieve materials from the glue spreader; ensure proper hand placement and safe handling of glued parts.
  • Lay out skins on cupboards; align glued components to customer specifications; place top skin to complete the door layup.
  • Use foot pedal to align lift table with transfer cart; push stacked doors onto transfer cart.
Schedule and Compensation
  • 2nd shift: 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m., Monday–Friday (weekends off)
  • $17–$20 per hour + $2/hour shift differential
What You Know
  • Proper door construction, door types, core types, stile/rail/block types
  • How to run production from tickets and verify quality/quantity
Core Skills
  • Visual quality checks and comprehension of build construction specs
  • Work with little to no supervision; place components correctly every time
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 20 lbs on Hollow Core and Heritage Specials line; up to 80 lbs on Solid Core and Specials line
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping; excellent dexterity; strong hand–eye coordination
  • Comfort working at a fast pace with multiple glued parts; stand for long continuous hours
Mental Focus
  • Constant attention to build details and accuracy of material placement
  • Monitor glue levels and maintain precise hand placement
Team and Environment
  • Work closely with a feeder and another operator—collaboration is essential
  • Mildly controlled environment; some cold/heat during extreme weather; mild dust
Proficiency Expected
  • Building Incentive Based Rates for Production
