About the Role

We're seeking an experienced HSE Manager to take a leading role in driving health, safety, and environmental excellence across a high-hazard manufacturing environment. Reporting to the UK EHS Manager, you'll be responsible for shaping strategy, ensuring compliance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity to join a global engineering and manufacturing business that produces critical materials for industries including aerospace, energy, and defence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise and collaborate with senior managers to drive continual improvement in OHSE performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal manufacturing standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Lead compliance audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Monitor OHSE KPIs, prepare monthly reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Represent the organisation in communications with regulators and during audits.
  • Champion cultural change by engaging employees at all levels in safety processes.
  • Deliver training and coaching to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Stay up to date with emerging best practices in OHSE and integrate them into business strategy.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent post‑graduated H&S qualification).
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an HSE management role within a high‑hazard environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and auditing EH&S management systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage cultural change and process safety initiatives.
