A leading engineering and manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support senior leadership and drive improvements in their finance function. The ideal candidate will have robust manufacturing finance experience, excellent systems skills, and a proactive approach to automation. Responsibilities include leading management accounts, ensuring financial accuracy, and mentoring junior team members. This position offers a salary of £60,000 - £65,000 plus bonus, and is based in office in the UK.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in manufacturing finance required.
• Strong systems capability with interest in automation.
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory & management accounts, forecasting, and audit preparation.
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure accurate month-end reporting.
• Partner closely with senior management to provide financial insight.
• Oversee manufacturing finance: costing, variances, stock reporting.
• Drive process improvements and support automation enhancements.
• Mentor and support junior members of the finance team.
