A leading aerospace technology company based in Fareham is seeking a Facilities Manager to ensure the safety and compliance of their production facility. The role involves overseeing maintenance, managing budgets, and coordinating contractors. Ideal candidates will have over 3 years of experience in facilities management and strong organizational skills. This is a full-time position with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in manufacturing or production facilities management.
  • IOSH Managing Safely preferred, along with First Aid and Fire Warden training.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Facilities Manager

Salary: Up to 40,000 per annum

Contract: Full‑time, permanent

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours/day

Travel: Occasional supplier visits

Role Overview

The Facilities Manager ensures the smooth running, safety, and compliance of the production facility. This includes building maintenance, asset management, contractor coordination, utilities, health & safety, and day‑to‑day operational support to maintain an efficient, safe, and cost‑effective environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and production assets.
  • Plan and manage preventative and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, warranties, and compliance.
  • Lead emergency preparedness, fire safety, and site inspections.
  • Manage budgets related to facilities and equipment.
Requirements
  • 3+ years in manufacturing or production facilities management.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (preferred), First Aid, Fire Warden training.
  • Experience with asbestos, Legionella, and Permit to Work procedures.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Analytical, safety‑conscious, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Right to work in the UK; security clearance if required.
