Overview

Manufacturing Engineering Serial Process Engineer

Location: Broughton, Chester (on-site)

Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, between 7am - 7pm, flexible within business needs)

Pay: £26.92 per hour PAYE / £36.00 per hour Umbrella

What You'll Be Doing
  • Process Development: Define and write assembly work instructions, create specifications for assembly tools, and develop methods for implementing design changes in production.
  • Technical Support: Launch parts and assemblies, provide on-site support, and prepare additional instructions to resolve disruptions or breakdowns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse anomalies and deviations, optimise procedures, and write concessions to support ongoing process improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with design and production teams to maintain consistency between reference elements, define manufacturing schedules, and specify interfaces.
  • Documentation: Ensure manufacturing engineering dossiers align with design dossiers, and raise queries when clarification is needed.
  • Industrial Work-Sharing: Contribute to defining product, production, and verification methods, supporting industrial work-sharing initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in work preparation or industrialisation within aviation or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of assembly systems, machining processes, and/or manual assembly methods.
  • Proficiency in SAP (especially manufacturing planning module) and MS Office/Google Workspace.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and excellent organisational and teamwork skills.
  • Airbus experience is highly desirable, but not essential-transferable skills from similar industries are welcome.
