Job summary
Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd. in Abingdon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering function and deliver the technology roadmap.
The role reports to the Head of Manufacturing and focuses on industrialising new products, optimising processes and driving cost reduction. You will oversee automation, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives, shaping the capability of the shopfloor and partnering with Design, Production and Quality teams to meet
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years in manufacturing engineering with leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Industrialisation and CI activities.
- Strong project and programme management skills.
- Experience with automation and digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Experience managing TPM and production equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering function and roadmap.
- Own industrialisation process for new products, ensuring readiness and capacity.
- Drive automation, digitisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Support DFM/DFA activities with production teams.
- Manage CAPEX budgets and department expenditures.
