Job summary

An established engineering business in Leeds is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee production methods, routing, and workflow. In this role, you'll significantly influence how high-quality machinery is produced, collaborating with design and procurement for efficient manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include improving production routings, managing MRP data, and supporting teams on the shopfloor. Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering background and hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, tooling, work holding.
• Experience in similar engineering roles like Production Engineer or Process Engineer.
• Proven experience with routing data management in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve manufacturing and production routings.
• Plan machining and assembly routes for timely delivery.
• Review engineering drawings for efficient manufacturing methods.
• Set up and audit routing data for accuracy.
• Identify tooling and process requirements.
• Support purchasing for materials and tooling.
