Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Ltd is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client’s Production Operations Team in Newton Aycliffe. You will support ramp-up of a high-volume operation and drive improvements in capacity planning, throughput and production efficiency in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, strong data analytics, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering and Automation to optimise flow.

Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma methodologies applied to manufacturing.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in capacity modelling and optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industrial and manufacturing engineering expertise to support wafer fabrication operations.
• Maintain and develop capacity models to inform equipment investment and labour planning strategies.
• Apply Lean manufacturing and industrial engineering techniques to optimise cycle time, line velocity, uptime and delivery.
• Analyse WIP data and equipment performance to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Automation to optimise production flow and business objectives.
• Lead capacity analysis and what-if scenario modelling for future planning.
• Support tool owners in understanding capacity and process impacts.
• Provide inputs for management reporting and performance reviews.
• Determine feasible production starts and product mix aligned to demand.
