Job summary

Magna International Inc. in the UK (Telford) is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development of new manufacturing processes. You will specify equipment, apply lean principles, and drive cost-effective solutions across cross-functional teams.

The role requires leading FMEA activities, coordinating with SMEs, and managing supplier interactions while delivering on-time, budget-aligned CAPEX projects in a high-volume automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with engineering focus.
• Familiar with equipment tendering process.
• Proven experience leading the FMEA process for manufacturing.
• In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and how to apply them.
• Project Management qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts with equipment specifications and recommendations for technical selection.
• Lead new equipment proposals and collaborate with SMEs to develop standards and SORs.
• Standardise documentation from concept to production and update equipment SORs.
• Lead CAPEX-based equipment projects and ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Lead machine FMEA and PFMEA for major equipment.
