Job description
Manufacturing Engineer – Carbon60

Carbon60 is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Broughton, UK. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analysing, and solving recurring technical issues on the production floor. You will provide on‑shift line‑side support to manage technical challenges, drive continuous improvement, and optimise the use of jigs and tools.

The role includes addressing issues such as missing parts, non‑conformities, outstanding work, maintenance, and optimising tooling. You will also support capacity management, anticipate fluctuations in the product life cycle, and develop the necessary competencies.

Shift Pattern
  • Double Day Shift Pattern (20% uplift on rate)
  • Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon Monday to Friday
  • Morning Shift – 6:00 am to 1:10 pm
  • Afternoon Shift – 1:30 pm to 8:40 pm
Qualifications
  • Desirable NVQ Level 4 / HNC or equivalent qualification
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Previous experience in a technical role, with knowledge of CATIA and SAP
  • Basic understanding of aircraft build philosophy
