Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths, English and Science at grade 4/C or above.
• Interest in engineering and manufacturing and willingness to undertake an apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and improvement of manufacturing processes and production methods.
• Support process optimisation projects with manufacturing engineers.
• Participate in shop floor observations and process reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate production issues and support corrective actions.
• Assist in designing and optimising production layouts and workflows.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.
• Support 5S initiatives and workplace organisation projects.
• Assist with waste reduction, efficiency improvement, and productivity projects.
• Contribute to Kaizen events and problem-solving workshops.
• Support data collection and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Create and maintain work instructions and SOPs.
• Support quality investigations and root cause analysis activities.
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE, Scrap Rates, Yield, Downtime, Productivity.
• Work with production teams to improve process consistency and product quality.
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.
• Participate in risk assessments and safety improvement initiatives.
