Job summary

A leader in aerospace and aviation manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly and test departments. The candidate should have prior experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically within the Aerospace and Defence sector, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities include new product introduction and providing technical support to manufacturing. This role offers excellent benefits including 25 days annual leave and private health care options.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineering position within the Aerospace and Defence sector.
  • Proven experience in the manufacture (assembly & test) of hydro-mechanical equipment or other engineered products.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of assembly, test and development departments.
  • New product introduction from initial bid, design reviews, equipment specification, shop floor layout to final pass-off to manufacturing.
  • Design, quote and implement tools and fixtures.
  • Act as the key interface between supporting departments and manufacturing.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing.

Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Deeside, Flintshire
Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

Our client, a leader in the aerospace and aviation manufacturing sector, is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join the team.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Support day‑to‑day activities of assembly, test and development departments.
  • New product introduction from initial bid, design reviews, equipment specification, shop floor layout to final pass‑off to manufacturing.
  • Design, quote and implement tools and fixtures.
  • Act as the key interface between supporting departments and manufacturing, e.g. Quality, Engineering and Planning.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing (design, documentation, specifications etc.).

Candidates who are currently Manufacturing Engineer, NPI Engineer, Product Development Engineer or CI Engineer may be suitable for this position.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineering position within the Aerospace and Defence sector.
  • Proven experience in the manufacture (assembly & test) of hydro‑mechanical equipment or other engineered products.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject.
  • Experience in CAD, ideally SOLIDWORKS.
