Responsibilities

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Rochester, Kent

Salary: Circa £40,000 dependent on skills and experience

  • Driving the implementation and improvement of technology-based initiatives across the manufacturing facility by researching new and emerging technologies, carrying out feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capital expenditure proposals for new equipment
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy smart manufacturing solutions
  • Driving automation and connectivity projects to improve system-to-system communication and overall business efficiency
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting integrated systems and identifying opportunities to improve production performance
  • Developing and maintaining data analytics tools for process optimisation, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring
  • Ensuring all digital and automation projects adhere to safety, quality, (cyber) security and compliance standards
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or time served in a similar role (HNC/Degree)
  • The ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop solutions
  • End to End experience in introducing new technologies / tools into a business from concept through to implementation

Desirable:

  • Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD packages
  • Hands on experience with tools such as Python, JavaScript, VBA etc
