Senior Manufacturing Engineer – East Sussex

Join our team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in East Sussex, leading the NPI Development team and ensuring the overall quality and delivery of new parts to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead liaison with design staff to ensure new parts meet quality and delivery standards.
• Ensure design concepts can be manufactured cost‑effectively.
• Oversee prototype build of products and prepare relevant documentation.
• Actively participate in PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and DFMEs (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
• Collaborate with Operations personnel to optimise and layout assembly areas and assembly tooling used in NPI builds.

Qualifications

• Experience with PCBA and leading a manufacturing or production team.
• Experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) role within electronics assembly, PCB/cable assembly, or electronics box build.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• Engineering Degree or equivalent, with provable experience in a similar position.
• Awareness of all types of electronic printed circuit assembly techniques is beneficial.
