Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering department.
  • Experience working with Bill of Materials and ERP systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with source document preparers to clarify questions or resolve discrepancies.
  • Review data entries and make necessary corrections for accuracy.
  • Gather, organise, and validate data before input.
  • Support the development of a streamlined record management system.
  • Develop and manage Manufacturing BoM templates within the ERP system.
  • Generate reports to ensure accurate BoM creation.
  • Schedule products in the ERP system per the production plan.
  • Participate in daily production meetings.
  • Collaborate with engineering, planning, purchasing, and manufacturing.

Manufacturing Engineer

Vickerstock is working in partnership with a leading Manufacturing firm in Lisburn to assist them with the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer.

The role involves working heavily with different departments to ensure tracked data is maintained, improved and built upon to ensure a smoother and more efficient manufacturing process across the site.

Your key responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Communicate with source document preparers to clarify questions, resolve discrepancies, or obtain missing information.
  • Review data entries and make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy.
  • Gather, organise, and validate data before input.
  • Support the development and upkeep of a streamlined and effective record management system.
  • Develop and manage Manufacturing BoM (Bill of Materials) templates within the ERP system.
  • Generate reports to support accurate BoM creation and ensure a "right first time" approach.
  • Schedule products in the ERP system according to the master production plan and any engineering updates.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to stay informed on current production activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, planning, purchasing, stores, and manufacturing.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, ideally you will have.
  • At least 2 years' experience in manufacturing engineering department.
  • Experience working with Bill of Materials and ERP systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel.
