Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a 6 month contract based in Filton. The role offers £40.13 per hour Inside IR35 and involves supporting a Defence and Aerospace client in delivering manufacturability improvements and supplier engagement.

You will analyse supplier capabilities, lead industrial reviews, and contribute to design for manufacture during design reviews, working with CATIA and tolerances/dimensioning.

Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing engineering with industry experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to design for manufacturability.
• Understanding of tolerances and drawing dimensioning.

Responsibilities

• Analyse industrial capability of potential suppliers.
• Contribute to the Transfer of Work project within the supplier network.
• Organise industrial kick-off meetings with the supplier.
• Lead Supplier Industrial Reviews through Industrial Coordination Handover.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis with Procurement Operations.
• Contribute to design-to-manufacture in design reviews.

Manufacturing Engineer

6 month contract

Based in Filton

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Analyse Industrial Capability of Potential suppliers
• Contribute to the Transfer of Work project team within the supplier network
• Organise industrial kick-off meeting with the supplier
• Lead Supplier Industrial Reviews until Industrial Coordination Handover
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis of Technical Abnormalities with Procurement Operations
• Contribute to design to manufacture for industrialisation within Design Reviews

Your skillset & experience:

• Technical background in manufacturing engineering with a manufacturing background
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods, and the ability to assess design drawings for detailed manufacture with particular focus on manufacturability
• Have a good understanding of tolerances and drawing dimensioning with machineability in mind
• Working knowledge of CATIA
• Aerospace experience/background is ideal
• Degree level in Engineering or equivalent
