Job summary

A leading precision engineering company in Poole is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop optimal manufacturing methods and support high-spec projects. The role requires strong aerospace experience and knowledge of machining techniques. Responsibilities include creating job packs, interpreting specifications, and coordinating tooling requirements. This full-time, permanent position offers a salary between £39,000 and £45,000 DOE in a quality-driven environment.

Overview

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading precision engineering company in Poole that specialises in aerospace components. They're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team and support the delivery of high-spec projects in a quality-driven environment.

Location: Poole, Dorset

Salary: £39,000 - £45,000 DOE

Hours: 39 hours/week, Monday to Thursday (Friday off!)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and plan optimal manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Create detailed workshop job packs to AS9100 standards for shop floor release.
  • Interpret and work to customer specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to production teams.
  • Identify and coordinate tooling requirements for new components.
  • Collaborate closely with both customers and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques and manufacturing workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of materials and surface treatment processes.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to balance technical and business priorities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with CAD systems (Catia preferred).
