Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)
Salary: £32.83 p/hour

Are you a proactive engineer passionate about driving change and delivering innovative manufacturing solutions?
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a highly focused and collaborative engineering team responsible for delivering multimillion‑pound improvement projects and implementing the latest manufacturing technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work cross‑functionally and influence how world‑class products are introduced into production.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of NPI and continuous improvement projects (Technology, Quality, Efficiency).
  • Identify and justify new business opportunities and capital investments.
  • Develop robust manufacturing process solutions, PFMEAs, control plans, and process flows.
  • Ensure project health is monitored and that People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets are met.
  • Produce equipment specifications, manage installations, and support safe commissioning.
  • Mentor others on standardised workflows and best manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and lean initiatives.
What You Can Demonstrate
  • Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Proven experience in project management, planning, budgeting, and cross‑functional delivery.
  • Understanding of manufacturing safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Expert judgement and proven capability in structured problem‑solving.
  • Experience applying lean principles within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable
  • Experience with construction or heavy equipment assembly, test, or finishing processes.
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter, 8D, 5Why, fishbone analysis, or Six Sigma.
  • Degree or equivalent industry experience.
