On behalf of our client, AMS are currently recruiting for a number ofManufacturing Engineersto join our clients Engine Overhaul Services team inDerbybased on an initial12-month contract.

As aManufacturing Engineer,you will be responsible for delivering overhaul capability for fleet critical engines on both legacy and new engine products across Trent 1000 Pack B & C, -TEN, 7000 and XWB variants, ensuring the business can respond to a demanding customer base.

As a Manufacturing Engineer You Will Be Responsible For

• You will utilise high performance, LEAN, and continuous improvement activities, combining Integrated Product & Production Readiness (IPPR), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), First Article Inspection Reports and Technical Pack and Zero-Defect requirements.
• You will respond to business requirements to improve and sustain Overhaul capability whilst developing and validating new Tooling and Engine Overhaul Methods.
• These activities directly bolster the Clients business strategy to ensure MRO Engine delivery against customer commitments
• You will develop the Technical Package for Development, improvement, and validation of robust Engine Overhaul Methods in line with business requirements and you will deliver cost reduction through improvement activities.
• Work with interfacing teams, local experts, partners, and suppliers to ensure all technical aspects of manufacturing processes are setup robustly.
• Resolve technical problems and exercise professional judgement and manage and maintain the integrity of business-related data in support of manufacturing processes.
• Plan and manage activities, communicating project/task status to relevant stakeholders and ensure manufacturing processes comply with all legal and customer requirements.
  
  

What We Require From The Candidate

• High level of self-motivation, flexibility, and the ability to work both individually and as a member of a multi-skilled team.
• Degree level or equivalent of relevant industry experience.
• Prior experience in machining, CNC operations, CMM, paint spraying, and special processes, etc.
• Knowledge of foundational ME toolsets
• Experience of systems engineering and problem solving (7-step / 8D) methodologies or equivalent problem resolution techniques
• Knowledge of EASA Part 145 desirable but not essential.
