Job description

We're looking for a Manufacturing / Production Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting production through the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing plans for new and existing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Keep production equipment operational through first‑level maintenance and coordination of advanced repairs.
  • Troubleshoot production breakdowns and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
  • Create programs for automated/programmable equipment.
  • Analyse equipment and methods to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation; train staff on procedures and best practices.
  • Provide technical support for complex production issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to analyse trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Apply root cause analysis to resolve daily assembly and production issues.
  • Control and maintain manufacturing documentation in line with industry standards.
  • Carry out additional engineering duties as required.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Engineering (BEng or equivalent) - desirable.
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with computerised manufacturing systems such as ERP and MRP.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects effectively.
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
