Job description

We're supporting a global engineering services provider in appointing a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team permanently, working on-site at a major aerospace manufacturing facility in Filton.

You’ll be embedded within a small, specialised engineering support team, providing technical guidance to the production and machining teams. The focus is on manufacturing process improvement—not hands‑on machining.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse CNC machining processes to identify opportunities for cost, time, and quality improvements
  • Support tooling selection, workholding, and process design
  • Collaborate with on‑site production teams to implement enhancements
  • Provide technical advice on manufacturing methods and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering or CNC machining
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, marine, or another high‑precision manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable operating in an advisory, engineering‑led role rather than hands‑on production
  • Strong understanding of CNC processes and process optimisation

This could suit a mid‑level Manufacturing Engineer, or a skilled CNC Machinist or Programmer looking to transition into a more technical, process‑focused role.

£37,000‑£39,000 per annum (flexible for the right candidate)

Full‑time, permanent position

Monday to Friday, 8am‑4pm (site‑based)

Benefits include pension, private health insurance, and 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
