Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in developing, optimising and maintaining manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs and ensure high standards of quality and safety across production. The post holder will apply their technical knowledge and experience to support the development and implementation of best practices across the business.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Design team to ensure the manufacturability of all new Slingco products.
  • Specify, develop and validate new or existing capital equipment and processes to consistently manufacture new products at the required throughput and quality levels.
  • Lead the Manufacturing Risk Assessment and PFMEA processes for all NPD introductions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards, as well as industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
  • Support capital projects and cost-reduction initiatives across the site.
  • Provide technical support for day-to-day production challenges and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve process-related issues.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, a related discipline, or qualification through experience.
