📍 Belfast, Northern Ireland
💰 £35 per hour (via umbrella)
🕒 Contract - 12 Months

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in Belfast, supporting the production and delivery of the A220 aircraft wing.

This role focuses on continuous improvement, ensuring on-time and on-cost delivery through process optimisation, tooling improvements, and close collaboration with production teams. You'll play a key part in driving efficiency, reliability, and quality across the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to production teams, resolving build issues quickly and effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to optimise manufacturing performance and efficiency.
  • Analyse and improve existing manufacturing systems and workflows.
  • Define and support tooling and jig requirements for wing component assembly.
  • Collaborate with design, tooling, and quality teams to ensure robust and reliable processes.
  • Support capacity management and assist in new product introduction.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards.
About You
  • Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3+ years' experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and production systems.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach to engineering challenges.
